Garden, Grain and Grape
- 02 NOV 2011
One of the most popular cocktails at Blythswood Square right now!
Vodka can be a difficult spirit to create cocktails with as its characteristics are more subtle than that of gin or rum. Vodkas made from Rye tend to be smoother and creamier, ones made from barley or wheat tend to be spicier or peppery. This cocktail works with best with Belvedere or Ketel One.
50ml Vodka
25ml White Wine
50ml Pressed Apple Juice
4-6 green grapes
25ml simple syrup
dash of egg white (optional)
Squeeze and drop the grapes into the shaker, fill shaker ¾ with ice, shake hard for 10 seconds, then double strain with a fine tea strainer to remove grape pulp
Garnish with the top 3 leaves of a small mint sprig. Smile!
