Just had the lovely small plates with 3 friends, I would describe them as not so small, but pretty generous! Staff are very professional and friendly, great atmosphere. I always look forward to visiting.
Anytime there is a deal offered by ITISON for the Market Square lunch my family consisting of four senior citizens always take this opportunity. None of us come from Glasgow but we make the effort to visit especially for this deal which we all think is aboslutley excellent. It's not only great value for money but the staff, service and attention given by every member of staff involved is 1st class, can not fault anything a all.
My Mum and I had a beautiful afternoon tea in the salon as a birthday treat. The variety and quality of the food was outstanding, as were the surroundings. Waiting staff are friendly, efficient and courteous without being intrusive. Simon got the balance just right, making us very welcome.
I would strongly recommend a visit and definitely suggest sampling the afternoon tea.
I have stayed at this hotel once but I have dined there quite a few times. I cannot praise the staff enough. They are always very efficient & friendly. The food is just amazing & the whole experience is just excellent. Would certainly recommend this hotel/restaurant to anyone & will certainly return.
We spent Hogmannay at the Blythswood. The menu was excellent, there were 4 of us and 2 of the party were French. The fact they managed to have their fillets and Chateubriand cooked the way they liked is a testament to the skill and attention of the chef. At no time were we rushed - we left the premises at 1.30 when our taxi arrived to take us home - arrived at 7.30. My only criticism is that as I am not a dessert lover, there should be alternatives for savoury lovers like myself. The French were bemused that cheese came after dessert but that made the non French laugh more ... each to their own!
We have been to the Blythswood a few time before and this is the first time I would have given a 5 overall. In the past it would be nearer a 3 for the food but five for the establishment - it certainly has a certain elegance about the place. Staff have always been an asset as non obtrusive and can't do enough for the customer.
