Health and Safety at Spa at Blythswood Square
You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire prior to your treatment and your Therapist will know what to look out for and advise accordingly. However, to avoid disappointment if you have had a recent operation or have any serious conditions, please speak with our Spa Reception for advice on suitable treatments to choose.
Mothers to Be
During your first 12 weeks of pregnancy we do not recommend any form of treatments using essential oils and massage. Reiki, mini manicures and pedicures only are recommended during this time. After the first trimester, pregnancy massage is available utilising our specially designed pregnancy couch.
Points on Safety
Although trained staff are on duty in the Spa, we do not have any dedicated lifeguards watching the pools. If you suffer from high blood pressure, have recently been unwell or believe you may be pregnant you should not use the saunas, steam rooms or hydrotherapy pool.
The Spa is equipped with plenty of showers and it is particularly important that you shower to remove any oil before using the pools and after using the sauna and steam rooms.
At busy times we may to restrict access to the thermal experience in order to ensure all our guests are able to get the most from our facilities in a safe manner. We may ask you to wait a short while or come back at a later point in the day.
We always strive to make every visit to our Glasgow luxury Spa hotel a relaxing and enjoyable experience, provisions for guests with disabilities have been made and we would be happy to discuss any special requirements. Our Spa team will be pleased to offer every assistance if you have mobility difficulties or other special requirements.
