Originally from Poland, Maciej Szymik has returned to The Bonham where he was Sous Chef in 2006 and since then he has gained considerable experience in working in 2 AA Rosette kitchens including Abstract in Edinburgh and Inverness and was Chef /Proprietor of the highly acclaimed "The Arch Inn" Seafood Restaurant in Ullapool.

Modern Classic.

Your signature dish...
I do not have one. We are changing the menu at The Bonham frequently to keep things fresh and interesting.

Your influences...
The food from my childhood. I was surrounded by food, having grown up on a farm and my dad being a butcher. Also from travelling and eating out.

Favourite food...
Thai.

And drink...
Pilsner Urquell.

Career highlight...
Got to be my current role here at The Bonham.

When you're not working...
I am quite passionate photographer.

Can't live without...
my iphone.
