Restaurant at The Bonham Guest Reviews

Me and my work coleague have received vouchers from work to visit several restaurants in Edinburgh as part of the new product development roles we are in. We have to say that food at Bonham was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. As the company we work for deals with fish and seafood, we have ordered scallops as a starter – must admit these were perfectly cooked – firm and succulent! For our main course we have chosen Salmon in dark shrimp sauce and Cod in parsley risotto – again, perfect taste and beautiful presentation. Although desserts were not to be scored – we really enjoyed lemon cake and treacle tart!! We have been served by professional staff who did everything we were happy with our food and drinks. Highly recommended place… will definitely come back!

We had our Christmas lunch booked here, the food,wine,service and staff were just perfect. The price was also brilliant. Cannot fault it at all, we will definitely be back

After a little mix up with our family birthday Boozy Snoozy booking, the staff made up for it in the most extraordinarily wonderful ways possible. No one else in the party found out about the mix up. All 7 of us (including 2 coeliac sufferers) sat at a table with a lovely view over Edinburgh, at the same time as we had arranged, and were treated to a very lovely meal by the most kind, helpful and attentive staff imaginable. It turned out to be a magical birthday, and we couldn't ask for more. We will definitely return soon and often.

Dining at The Bonham is like stepping back in time to an era where elegant surrondings were the perfect setting for excellent service and exceptional cuisine.

I dined with 2 friends on the Boozy Snoozy 3 course lunch last Sunday. My friend had been staying at the hotel earlier in the week and had liked it so much she wanted to hurry back for Sunday lunch. Food was fabby, three courses, really nice presented - the wine was lovely too. For the price, have not food close let alone better in Edinburgh. Lovely manager threw in an extra 1/2 bottle of wine (to make it to two bottles ) - which was lovely of him. Will be my Sunday regular!
