We had a delightful lunch with the terrific Boozy Snoozy menu. Two of us had the vegetarian main, and it was quite the nicest vegetarian / pasta dish I've ever had! Everyone enjoyed all the courses and the very professional service. The room of course is special too, and the ambiance feels right when its both bustling and quieter. We'll be back!

Just under two week ago I experienced what might be the best meal I've ever had in Edinburgh. A bold claim for a man who's lived here over 21 years. Deep within Edinburgh's expensive West End Village I eventually found the venue that had been chosen for my Mum's 60th birthday. The Bonham doesn’t particularly stand out but rather, subtly blends into the Town houses situated around it. I walked into the hotel and tried to find my grandparent's room so that I could get changed into my suit. I wished to look smart to not only make my Mum feel proud, but so that I could feel a little bit more like James Bond. However, after embarrassingly knocking on the wrong room number and apologising to a young woman fresh out the shower, it was unlikely I was going to feel very much like James Bond that night. The gourmet meal started off with champagne. Actually.... I should make it clear at this point that I was not paying for this meal. My Mum's parents and Sister were taking care of the bill so I was not holding back. Once led to the table I ordered my food. Mushroom risotto with something something froth to start. Anything with froth must be good right? Then I got Monkfish for main. For beer I drank local bottles of Innis & Gun & later Peroni. All pumped up for my food I was blown away by the pre-starter of chalot and mushroom soup. Tasted pretty incredible. My first real sign of class though was when my waiter placed my napkin on my lap for me. I've always been a fan of this, although I always feel bad when it falls off and they somehow notice and come over and sort it for me. We also got free warm bread which was class. Anyway the meal happened for a few hours and I also got white chocolate parfait for desert. Complimentary chocolates etc.. for afterwards as well which was good. Great service, they even suggested that my girlfriend have a specific type of wine with her meal. They must know their stuff. The toilet's had Molton Brown soap and hand cream. Enough said there. Anyway fantastic meal, I'd eat there every week if I had the cash. Heavy worth it if you've got a Xmas bonus that's looking to be spent on something special.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal on 4 November: the food was very good indeed.

This was my fourth visit to the Bonham Hotel and their Boozy Snoozy deal. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and restaurant. The food and service is one of the best in Edinburgh and we will not hesitate to eat here again.

Had wonderful Boozy Snoozy lunch on Saturday 5th November. Been there as many times for lunch and it has never failed on its delivery of the delicious food on offer and great value for money.
