Meet The Chef
Dan Hall Appointed Executive Head Chef - Blythswood Square

Daniel Hall has been appointed Executive Head Chef at Blythswood Square, the 5 star hotel to be opened by The Town House Collection later this year.
Daniel joins Blythswood Square from the Pool House Hotel, Wester Ross where he held a similar position for the past 16 months. In a career spanning over 15 years, he has worked with renowned chef Nick Nairn and in many top class kitchens in Scotland and around the world. These have included being head chef onboard the luxury Royal Scotsman train and the Michelin Star Braeval Restaurant in Aberfoyle, as well as restaurants in Australia, Spain and the USA.
Amongst some of Daniel's many achievements are winning the Young Scottish Chef of the Year award in 1996, becoming a national finalist in the Young British Chef of the Year in 2000 and his recognition as The Youngest Group Executive Chef to win the Acorn award in 2001.
Daniel said of his appointment: 'Blythswood Square is the most exciting hotel to open in the City for some time and the restaurant will offer diners something new. I am obviously delighted to be joining the team. The Glasgow restaurant market is strong and diners are known to enjoy creative menus that offer a fabulous taste experience alongside good value for money. I am looking forward to creating a menu that will delight our guests and establish itself as a destination for Glasgow residents.'
Managing Director Hans Rissmann added: 'We are delighted to have made another key appointment in the run up to the opening of Blythswood Square later this year. Daniel was an ideal choice for the position due to his wide-ranging experience and I very much look forward to developing an exciting and new food concept for Glasgow at Blythswood Square.'
