Enjoy a short break in Edinburgh in one of our luxury Townhouse suites and spend two days exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside with professional guides from Wilderness Scotland - an award winning adventure travel and eco tourism company.

Our Family Adventure Break is priced from £1932 per family of four for 3 nights in a Townhouse suite.
Based on 2 adults and 2 children only.

Valid from the 1st April - 31st August 2010, subject to availability.

3 nights luxury accommodation in a Townhouse suite
Dinner on one night, served in your suite
Private guiding for 2 days with all activities led by fully qualified guides and instructors
All transport in a private vehicle driven by a Wilderness Scotland guide

Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive at hotel and enjoy dinner in your suite.

Day 2 - Wilderness Scotland will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and drive north to Dunkeld in Perthshire (2 hours). You will visit the Loch of the Lowes visitor centre, where your guide will lead a short walk and help you see some of the rare animals and birds that can be seen there, including osprey and red squirrels. Afterwards, you will visit The Hermitage and enjoy one of the delightful woodland walks there, passing the tallest tree in Scotland on the walk! During the salmon run season (late summer into autumn), it is possible to see salmon trying to jump up the waterfall at the Hermitage - a spectacular sight!

This day is suitable for any families. For more active families, your guide will be happy to lead a full day's walk up one of Perthshire's beautiful hills.
 
Day 3 - You will drive south to Glentress near Peebles for some mountain biking. You will all be fitted with bikes and the qualified bike guide will lead you on some trails through the forest. The guide will be able to offer tips and coaching as you go, and will select trails that are suitable for your family's ability - anything from complete beginner (as long as you can ride a bike) to mountain bike expert. Depending on how long you want to spend on the bikes, there may be time to stretch the legs with a walk on one of the short nature trails before you finish. Return to Edinburgh late afternoon.

Day 4 - Breakfast, check out of hotel.
